Meet the Hautmans and see original paintings on display and available for purchase during this two-day event cohosted with “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society.
Internationally recognized wildlife artists James, Joseph and Robert Hautman are living legends in the world of conservation and wildlife art. Collectively the three brothers have won the Federal Duck Stamp contest an astonishing 15 times, most recently the 2023-2024 Federal Duck Stamp Contest when Joe took home the grand prize with his painting of three tundra swans.
Every year “Ding” Darling hosts the winning duck stamp artist to celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week - and the birthday of the first duck stamp artist Jay Norwood “Ding” Darling. All three Hautman brothers will make a guest appearance during the inaugural Art in the Wild event, October 21-22, at the J.N. ‘Ding’ Darling National Wildlife Refuge, located on Sanibel Island, Florida.
“It’s always such an honor and pleasure to visit with longtime friends and spend time at ‘Ding,’” said Joe. “It’s one of my favorite parts about winning the contest. I’m doubly honored this year to be exhibiting my work at the first-ever Art in the Wild event, along with my two brothers.”
