JJ Design House creator Jessie Gagatko grew up in Nevada and now lives in Portland, Oregon with her two energetic young boys, supportive husband, and little dog Oolong. She graduated from Oregon State University.

She is a self-taught graphic artist and stay at home Mom. She started creating art as an outlet during naptime and soon developed a passion for design and home decor.  This enthusiasm quickly evolved into a career change from Engineer to Artist and she’s never looked back. 

She loves to try new styles, but often finds herself steering back towards bohemian and minimalist art styles. You’ll find Jessie working from home during the quiet hours of the day while the boys are sleeping. Her art reflects her interest in the outdoors and often incorporates the beauty found in nature.
